The holidays are a time of tradition, family and community spirit. Since 1984, Hospice SLO's Light Up A Life program has been celebrated by thousands of individuals and families during the month of December as a way to remember their loved one. Each year individuals are invited to make a donation to help ignite memorial lights in their community in honor of a loved one. Tree and lighting ceremonies take place throughout the County, please visit the website for dates and locations.
Since 1977, Hospice SLO staff and volunteers have been dedicated to assisting community members in face life threatening illness, life transitions, loss of a loved one and healing. These memorials are open to eveyone, whether the loss of a loved one is recent or in the distant past.
In recognition of the strong bond between humans and their animal companions, Hospice SLO added a Paws to Remember memorial for those who wish to honor the memory of their loving pet companions.
